As someone who's attended two of the top film schools, I often get asked a simple question: Is Film School worth it? The answer actually can't be answered in a yes/no fashion as it really depends on multiple factors regarding the individual student considering attending and what they hope to get out of the experience

NYU Film School: - A Review
I obtained the BFA in Film Production from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. As someone who has also attended USC’s Film School as well as having taken classes at UCLA’s Film Program, I thought I could offer some good perspective of what I thought of each and start with the one I spent the most time at; NYU.

Which Film School Is Better? NYU or USC?
While there are certainly other quality programs out there including AFI, UCLA and others, USC and NYU, due to the number of illustrious alumni, the long history of their programs and the reputation each has are perceived to be at the top of the heap. So how are they different and is one or the other really the ‘best’?

After Film School
There are a lot of kids out there that have dreams of becoming the next Steven Spielberg, George Lucas or Quentin Tarantino. When it comes to college they major in film or cinema at any of a myriad number of schools from the famous such as NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and USC's School of Cinematic Arts to smaller quality programs at universities and specialized schools around the country. Through the years there is one theme that has run through my conversations with just about all of my fellow film school alumni: Why didn't anyone ever teach us what to do AFTER film school?
